The SWIGZ.COM Electric Superbike is unique from other programs in a number of key ways:
1. Goal is to win races - not sell electric bikes or components - we are completely free to develop and use the best technologies without restriction.
2. Most powerful roadracing electric superbike being developed in the world.
3. Developed based on real lap data from circuits in the electric championship - designed to deliver specific laptimes, specifically, Laguna Seca and Infineon.
4. Patent firm of McKenna, Long & Aldridge LLP is major sponsor and filing patents on KERS, software controls, race finishing algorithms and powertrain control solutions.
5. Legitimate KERS system (patent pending).
6. Full software control over dual CAN bus networks allow meaningful advances in electric powertrains to be implemented, which may be of future interest to automotive or motorcycle OEMs.
7. Self-funded by AMA and FIM professional rider / team owner who is also lead designer and holds a Masters Degree in Business from USC.

Above: analysis by Ben Ingram showing a comparison of force at the rear wheel (in pounds) of our current AMA racebike (six speed shown in blue), versus our 194 hp liquid-cooled electric powerplant shown in green (solid is continuous, dashed is maximum).

Above: simple block diagram of our powertrain and control system showing dual CAN bus communications.
Above: our 500 amp liquid-cooled electric motor controller - note coolant fittings in bllue.

Above: our 194 hp liquid-cooled electric motor in pieces for weight loss considerations.
Above: our temporary battery stop-gap solution to get us on track as soon as possible in mid-2010. Our strong preference is to partner with a major lithium battery OEM to develop a custom battery pack. The cells above have just arrived from China but not before being inspected by the nice folks at U.S. Customs!
